Election frenzy

Hi in case you got confused about my post yesterday.. I'm not really a WP fan. Although I'm quite impressed by some of their candidates/speeches, that doesn't mean I'm going to vote them okay. Granted that I cannot vote anyway, but no I'm not trying to solicit votes for WP. Crazy you think I so much free time ar?

After all, there's also some exciting election action going on in RJC!! And TCS is up with the latest news and.. BETTING ODDS!! zomg we all know world cup fever is coming, so before that sets in and you lose money from backing lousy football teams, WHY NOT HAVE A WARMUP SESSION NOW (and get used to losing)? Well of course you all know that we are all here to earn a living, and therefore the warmup session for betting will not be free of charge. How much money you intend to lose, you decide.

Since you ultimately decide how much money you're gonna lose in WC anyway.. give you some practice first. Then before the world cup fever comes we could give you a fever first by making you pay up all your debts haha.. another preparation session. Indeed, I dunno why we at TCS are so generous nowadays, giving you free (some not-so-free) practise in LOSING MONEY and GETTING FEVER.

Okay anyway for now just screw the WC. We got more impt things to settle.

RJC is having the house captains' elections and presidential elections right now. As you all would probably know or not know, I don't like to comment on house captains' elections. You don't have to know why, it's just a private reason that I refuse to disclose. Now how's that for secrecy. But then again house captains are small fry and there's no fun in betting in small fries. I mean, would you place your bets on the Premiership or in like, Nationwide Conference? Or maybe even League Two?

You get my point. No one bets on small fry.

We all go for the Big Fish in the Premiership. That's your presidential candidates.

So we have three very very very capable people running for Council President. No matter who wins, we all know that we'll be in good hands anyway. BUT what is the fun of just sitting and watching when we can actually sit and win money? Then unless you have been an absolute fagut and ponned assembly today, you should know who are the three candidates. They sound as if they've come out from some physics textbook but hell, let's just analyse them.

DC - DIRECT CURRENT
Now as you know direct currents are POWERFUL so this guy's a POWERFUL Prefect from RI (exco I think). And err he's Hullett House captain too. He has many CCAs in RJC and handles responsibility very well. Ya and he's some crazy damn fast runner. Last but not least, he's a candidate for Council President so oh yeaaaa!

AC - ALTERNATING CURRENT
Some superwoman. Uh, from Students' Leader Network in RGS (dunno if I got that right). Waddle House captain. Basketball captain. Class chairman too (I think). Now how crazy is that. She just changed her CCA in JC but she already got into the team of her new CCA, which is again, crazy. She's also a candidate for Council President.

JL - JOULE'S LAW
Now I dunno if such a law exists but it's looks damn Physics-related on the surface so can Physics gurus just keep quiet for now. This guy is some outstanding prefect back in RI. Held quite a high post in NPCC too, being an Assistant CCAL right after Big Boss Zeyan. I am not into military terming but all you have to know: he's a candidate for Council President.

Now as a naughty boy who isn't much interested in RJC politics, I ponned assembly today. As in seriously I didn't get to hear the election speeches so I am able to provide you with some neutral, objective feedback about how the odds should be like. Consider that all of them are equal.. I present you the betting odds for the new Council President.

ODDS:
Direct Current pays out $1.50 for every dollar
Alternating Current pays out $1.50 for every dollar
Joule's Law pays out $1.50 for every dollar
CHRIS KWAN (ya that fagut) pays out $1.50¹⁵⁰ for every dollar. Go figure why I'm feeling so generous with this little tennis boy lol.

I hope don't claim that's unfair odds. It's precisely because all of them are so capable which is why I had no choice but to minimise my losses. I mean, ya you need to practise losing but that is why the last option is available for you to place your money on. Eh but that is NOT NECESSARILY sure lose - cos you know anything is possible.. and so perhaps if he really does become Council President you'll come into a fortune. Man then with your windfall you can go pwn everyone else in World Cup betting.

Yes so that is basically the odds.

You can place your bets on the tagboard, or just send them to talkcocksummit@yahoo.com.sg, which I really don't check so could you indicate on the tagboard if you sent a mail there? Ya I know I'm very efficient thank you. Alternatively, feel free to approach me or any member of this blog in school to place your bets. It is up to the member's discretion if he wants to accept the bet or not.. because from what I understand some of us are short of money nowadays.

Thus I hope you will understand. Ever since waterpolo stopped training, we have lost our moneylending resources - THE SINGAPORE POOLS. So a little bit of poverty can be tolerated, but if we lose bets we might not be able to pay you. TCS reserves the right to reject your bets if we deem fit.
